The menu at Kissfish boasts an impressive selection, including mouthwatering sushi hand rolls like the Spicy Tuna and California Roll, both priced affordably between $5.50 and $5.95. However, it’s the poke bowls that truly steal the spotlight. Diners like Kelly L. sing praises for the incredible yuzu ponzu sauce, claiming it to be the best they've encountered in the area. Another highlight includes their delectable sides, such as Vegetable Gyoza and Seaweed Salad, which complement the main offerings beautifully. Lauren P. remarks on the generous portions and beautiful presentation, making your meal not just tasty but visually pleasing as well.
The ambiance at Kissfish adds to its charm. While the space is intimate with limited seating, it creates a sense of community. Many patrons, such as Maya K. and Lily R., appreciate the attentive service and how the menu simplification reduces stress during ordering. Although it lacks an internal restroom, nearby facilities make it a minor inconvenience in an otherwise delightful experience.

Kissfish is my go-to place when I'm in the mood for a poke bowl ($13.95). You just fill out a paper form with all the options, so you can mix and match as you please. I usually choose salmon, tuna, or eel as my protein. And out of all the poke places I've tried, they have to best tasting yuzu ponzu sauce.
I went to kissfish today for lunch and I must admit I really enjoyed it. I got a bowl with brown rice, grilled chicken, cucumbers avocado and sesame seeds. The sauce was light and delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the service was fast. I also liked that they give u the menu and let you check off what you want to get so much less confusing that way. Overall I really enjoyed my experience at Kissfish today. There was plenty of seating and light. It was nice and clean. The only thing missing was a bathroom, but there was one close by to use. I didn't end up using it cause I didn't have to go that bad but overall it was an excellent experince.
MUST HAVE in Forest Hills!!! Genuinely the best poke I've ever had, every time I go it's exactly the same high quality. Super fresh and tasty, and great price! I also love how nicely they arrange the poke lol. When you go in person you use a paper menu and pencil to select what you want in the bowl so it's low pressure :)
Pretty good poké with plenty of toppings and is not overloaded with rice. The place is tiny with only a few seats. The imitation crab (kani salad) is in large pieces instead of fully shredded but the flavor is there.
Literally my favorite poke place ever! Been coming here since high school and it'll always be my favorite. Not many places have eel, so I always get it when I come here. Their portions are pretty generous too and the presentation is beautiful. This place is great for people with social anxiety-- you fill out a paper form with all the options in front of you and you don't have to worry about remembering everything you want when you tell the cashier. There are only a few tables and seats inside, plus some seats along the window where my friend and I sat. Parking is difficult on Austin though, so either hope for parking on the side streets or just take the train (M/R).
What a great tiny place for take out or a quick lunch/dinner in! This is the second time I have been here! The fish is fresh, and the portions are generous, especially as a lunch! They are quick to build your bowl! I'll be back.
This is just a small little place for takeout as there isn't rlly any seating, and not rlly somewhere you'd sit and eat anyways. Usually, people just grab and go, but don't judge by the size of this place. Their poke bowls are absolutely amazing! Love love love! Highly recommend stopping by!
Last week I decided to try the new poke place on Austin street instead of going to kissfish. It's been awhile since I had a poke bowl and I was wanted to see if it was worth it, and it wasn't. So this week I had to get kissfish to get the bad bowl taste out of my mouth. I am so glad I did. This was probably the best bowl I've ever had. Everything was super fresh and my bowl was overflowing. It was amazing
I think overall, this is a really good poke place. Easily in my top favorites. Considering the neighborhood it is in, I would say this is one of the best places to eat. I got the Build Your Own Bowl with Salmon and Tuna. I feel like the rice is a good portion compared to the other ingredients, so there isn't a an abundance of one ingredient. The only thing I would say is, I wish they had different bowl size because this place is so good, I could definitely go for a large. To order: when you go in, just grab a slip of paper and start filling out what you'd like to order. I think this is really smart and efficient because you see all the ingredients in front of you and there will not be any misunderstandings and any mis-ordering. Overall, great poke place. Definitely check it out.
